Our Team
Dr. Rowena Liamzon
Dr. Rowena Liamzon obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree and practiced optometry in her home country before emigrating to Canada in 1988. She continued her studies and successfully completed the extensive, structured education and training from the prestigious University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in Ontario.
As part of her training, she took her Clinical Externship and Rotation at the Hialeah Hospital, Florida, USA, where she gained valuable exposure and experiences in the detection, management and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration and other retinal pathology.
She is a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. Dr. Liamzon is dedicated to providing excellent optometric care and welcomes patients of all ages.

Dr. Grant Johnson
(Grant Johnson) I was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta. I’ve been practicing Optometry for the past 13 years. I earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary in 2006. Afterwards, I went on to earn my Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pacific University College of Optometry in 2010. Since then, I have practiced optometry in Portland, Oregon, and Victoria, British Columbia, before returning home to Central Alberta. I am passionate about providing comprehensive vision care for all ages. I am particularly interested in detecting and managing glaucoma and using new technologies to slow down the progression of myopia (aka nearsightedness) in children. In addition to my regular practice, I have volunteered on international eye care trips to serve underprivileged populations. I was also the president of the Central Alberta Optometric Society from 2015 to 2019. I am currently a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
When I am not at the clinic, I spend time with my family, camping, hiking, and golfing. I also love to travel and often find myself exploring other cities, trying to find the best food and coffee.
