Our Team
Dr. Kayla Vroom
Dr. Vroom was born and raised on Vancouver Island and attended the University of Calgary's Bachelor of Science program. She then went on to receive her Optometry degree with honours and a Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences at the Illinois College of Optometry in 2012. With her schooling, Dr. Vroom was given the opportunity to complete externships in ocular disease and low vision at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs hospital and children’s developmental vision care in Wichita, Kansas. After finishing school, Dr. Vroom moved to Alberta to practice optometry before moving to Kamloops in June 2018 to set up her practice within Optiks International. In her free time, Dr. Vroom enjoys golfing, biking, spending time at the lake, and going for walks with her two dogs.
Dr. Vroom’s approach to optometry has always been centred around providing high-quality and compassionate care. She is committed to helping you protect your vision for life and enjoys providing eye care to people of all ages. She welcomes all new patients to her practice.
