Our Team
Dr. Tim Lee
Dr. Tim Lee is an independent Doctor of Optometry who graduated from the University of Waterloo. During his training, Dr. Lee completed a rigorous and rewarding internship at the Eye Foundation of Utah, receiving extensive training in the treatment and management of eye diseases (such as management of pre- and post-operative cataract surgeries, retinal surgeries and diseases, glaucoma treatment, low vision, refractive surgeries). Dr. Lee likes to keep himself updated by routinely keeping abreast of new technologies and research into laser and non-laser refractive procedures, treatment and management of ocular diseases by attending conferences and meetings locally and internationally.
Dr. Lee has enjoyed serving the Durham community since 2000. He offers comprehensive eye exams, including disease assessment, treatment, and co-management (laser refractive and cataract). He is authorized to prescribe topical and oral therapeutic medications for ocular diseases (such as eye infections, inflammation, allergies, and dry eye disease).
He listens to what your visual needs are (from driving, reading, music, computer/tablet/phone viewing to children having difficulty focusing on school work) and what bothers your eyes (eg, tired, eyestrain, headaches), so as to perform the appropriate eye assessment specific to those eye issues. After carefully performing detailed testing, he will explain to you, in simple terms, any prescription you may have and propose what can best help to maximize your optimal vision. He genuinely cares about his patients and their well-being and looks forward to providing you and your family with optimal eye care
