Our Team

Dr Chen
Dr Chen completed her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2014 from the New England College of Optometry. She graduated as part of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She is certified by the Canadian Assessment in Competence in Optometry and the American National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
She has completed externships at the Vision Institute of Canada in Toronto, East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Perkins School for the Blind with training in primary care, pre- and post-surgical care, pediatrics, geriatrics, persons with disabilities, binocular vision, low vision, and specialty contact lens care.
Dr Chen decided to pursue a career in optometry after working at an optometrist's office while studying for her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto. After completing her doctorate degree in optometry, Dr. Chen decided to return to her roots in the GTA to practice her profession. She has worked in various settings, including private practice, medical, and side-by-sides. She believes that patient education and good communication are integral to good patient care and the secret to a lasting patient-doctor relationship.
