Our Team
Dr. Zain Abbas
Dr. Zain Abbas earned his Bachelor of Science with a minor in chemistry from Mount Royal University before going on to pursue optometry after realizing the importance of proper vision and its impact on all areas of life. During his training, Zain completed clinical rotations through OMNI Atlanta and worked at Kendall Eye Institute, Miami, and at satellite clinics in Puerto Rico, where he studied. He graduated with honours from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry in 2019, at which point he returned home to Calgary to begin practicing eye care. Dr. Abbas is multilingual and speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, and Spanish. He has a special interest in ocular diseases, primary care, and contact lenses. When he's not working, Zain enjoys spending time with his family, ideally near a body of water.
